Lots of the weathermen around here are talking about mother nature putting on her own fireworks show here. I think that's a stupid cliche, but it does have some possibility. There is a storm system kind of sitting over the city. Last night the storms came through and hit some places pretty hard, including the city of Rockford.
Today, the skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. It is still warm and muggy and the temperatures will be in the 80s.
Tonight it will be partly cloudy with a low in the mid-60s.
Thursday it will be partly cloudy and warm again with a high in the mid-80s.
It looks like it may cool down a bit and be fairly nice for the weekend.
